Salary: $36,500 to $40,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 2080 hours per year

Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children, Children
Transportation information: Willing to travel regularly
Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, Room and board provided
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language and should be bilingual
Asset language: Lingala, Swahili, Luba-Katanga
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Cultural
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and have experience with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of working under pressure and have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should excel in oral communication and demonstrate flexibility in their work
- The candidates should exercise sound judgment in decision-making and maintain a high level of organization
- The candidates should be recognized for their reliability, be collaborative team players, and be adept at time management
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies and travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
- The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants, supervise and care for children, and take children to and from school and appointments
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children and help children with homework
