Salary: $16.55 to $17.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 47.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 5312 5th Sideroad, Egbert, ON L0L 1N0
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning, 07:00 to 16:00
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle
Work setting: Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Manure spreader, Loader, Tractor
Animal specialization: Thoroughbred horses
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to do horse breeding
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work in odours, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to farm animal grooming, feed inventory, handling animals, weaning
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
