Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 45 hours per week

Transportation information: Drive manual transmission vehicle, valid driver’s licence, willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel internationally, willing to travel overnight
Work setting: Various locations and willing to relocate
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, trans-border documentation, trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment: flatbed, tractor-trailer, tractor-trailer A train, tractor-trailer B train
Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, trip recorder (on-board computer)
Transportation/travel experience: International, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, and regional
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone, hard hat, steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), DZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), FAST (Free and Secure Trade) Program, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
Security and safety: Drive manual transmission vehicle, valid driver’s licence, willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel internationally, willing to travel overnight
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and capable of handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
- The candidates should have excellent written communication and be flexible
- The candidates should demonstrate good judgment and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate mountain driving expertise and operate straight or articulated trucks
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport goods and materials safely and efficiently
- The candidates should be able to oversee vehicle condition, perform inspections, handle tarping, and ensure cargo safety, including transporting dangerous goods
