Salary: $28.85 hourly for 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – On the road job
Location: 4852 50 Ave NE suite 13 Calgary, AB T3J 4L8
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Travel expenses paid by employer, and Willing to travel cross-border
Work setting: Various locations, and Relocation costs covered by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge:
Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, and Trip reports
Transportation/travel experience:
Long-haul
Credentials: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Security and safety: Drug test and Medical exam

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be able to handle heavy loads safely and efficiently
  • The candidates should be capable of managing a large workload effectively and be prepared for physically demanding tasks as required by the role

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication and collaboration, and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and tasks
  • The candidates should be reliable and consistent in fulfilling their responsibilities, and be effective team players, contributing to the success of the team’s goals and objectives

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform brake adjustments, and perform emergency roadside repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
