Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a post-secondary education, have valid CPR/First Aid training, Food Handlers Certification and/or experience working in a healthcare environment
Experience: Candidates should have a previous work experience that is client focused, safety minded and covers a broad skillset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be available to work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- The candidates should be adaptable, friendly, and eager to provide assistance where necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to spend one-on-one time with residents to provide company, meaningful and appropriate conversation, and support
- The candidates should answer call bells and redirect residents when appropriate
- The candidates should support residents in recreation programming
- The candidates should assist residents with eating under the direction of nursing staff
- The candidates should conduct employee screening, including measuring and recording temperatures
- The candidates should promote and enforce social distancing protocols
- The candidates should monitor points of entry
- The candidates should assist with family visits, meal services, daily activities, and other tasks such as using technology
- The candidates should perform light housekeeping duties for residents, including bed making, linen delivery, and cleaning
