Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform some physical tasks such as Heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods of time and be comfortable with ladders
- The candidate should have the ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to spend the majority of their time outdoors working in all types of weather conditions
- The candidate should be able to provide excellent customer service and also ensure that all safety precautions are taken when loading a vehicle
- The candidate should be able to ensure that the exits/loading areas are not blocked or cluttered and support work colleagues when needed
- The candidate should be able to utilize computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phone to check inventory, look-up orders and notify customers when product is ready for pick-up and also should be comfortable lifting merchandise to organize for customer pick up
- The candidate should have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- The candidate should have an excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills, be detailed-oriented and be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- The candidate should be self-motivated to drive completion of tasks as quickly and accurately as possible and be comfortable working in all types of weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be responsible for providing excellent customer service and also act as the first and last point of contact with customers
- The candidate should be responsible to load orders into Customer vehicles and maintain shopping carts outside the store
- The candidate should be able to approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles and also ensure the parking lot and entrances are maintained and welcoming to customers, including maintaining shopping carts outside the store
- The candidate should be able to act as a spotter for equipment operators and ensuring that large orders are transported safely through the store and to customer’s vehicles
- The candidate should be able to pick, organize and verify orders for delivery or pick-up
