Salary: $19.50 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: 7028 MERRITT AVENUE, Burnaby, BC, V5J 4R6
Shifts: Night, Shift and Morning
Work setting: Food processing plant
Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks, pay attention to detail, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be a team player and also an excellent oral communication
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Multi-functional process control machinery
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
- The candidate should be able to operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products and also operate machinery to process and bottle, can or otherwise package alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
- The candidate should be able to record production information and also observe gauges, computer printouts and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions
- The candidate should be able to make adjustments to process variables and also check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards
- The candidate should be able to perform corrective machine adjustments, clean machines and immediate work areas, inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities and also maintain shift log of production and other data
