Salary: $32.00 to $43.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 40 hours per week

Location: 1480 Chief Louis Way Kamloops, BC V2H 1J8
Shifts: 07:00 to 15:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, Public transportation is not available
Work setting: Willing to relocate, general manufacturing
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience, machine tool technology/machinist or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinist technology/CNC machinist
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Measuring tools: Micrometers, Calipers, Calibre, Gauges
Equipment and machinery experience: Automatic lathes, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Conventional, Drill presses, Engine lathes, Milling machines, Tool grinders, Computer-aided design (CAD)
Credentials: Machinist Trade Certification, Machinist Red Seal Endorsment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadline and with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, dependable, initiative and flexible
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- The candidates should be able to set up, adjust production machineries/tools, maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- The candidates should be able to fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- The candidates should be able to document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- The candidates should be able to compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
- The candidates should be able to set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
