Salary: $16.00 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Morning
Work setting: Supermarket and meat department, Supermarket/grocery store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Manual cutting utensil, Slicing machine
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to work in a cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, dependable, organized, flexible, reliable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
- The candidates should be able to wrap and package prepared meats, remove bones from meat
- The candidates should be able to weigh meats for sale, price meat products
- The candidates should be able to clean and prepare fish and shellfish
- The candidates should be able to sell meats to customers
- The candidates should be able to cut fish into steaks and fillets
