Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 4804-50stSpirit River, AB T0H 3G0
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning, 08:00 to 16:00
Work setting: Willing to relocate, and Supermarket/grocery store

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Band saw, Manual cutting utensil, Power grinder, Sausage machine, and Slicing machine

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be physically fit to handle the demands of a physically demanding job, capable of handling heavy loads, and possess hand-eye coordination

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and tasks, striving for accuracy in their work
  • The candidates should exhibit dependability in fulfilling their duties and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities, displaying flexibility in their work approach
  • The candidates should show initiative in taking proactive steps to accomplish tasks and exercise good judgment in decision-making
  • The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean meats, remove bones, and prepare standard cuts for processing or cutting
  • The candidates should be able to wrap, package, and weigh prepared meats, as well as price meat products for sale
  • The candidates should be able to cut poultry and fish into parts, steaks, and fillets, and grind meats for various purposes
  • The candidates should be able to make special sausages, slice cooked meats, and prepare special orders for customers
  • The candidates should be able to shape, lace, and tie roasts, meats, poultry, and seafood to meet specific requirements
