Salary: $17.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 40 Nugget Avenue suite 6, Scarborough, ON M1S 3A7
Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with odors and be comfortable working in cold/refrigerated conditions
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks, have strong manual dexterity, and possess good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be physically fit to perform demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and excel as team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety and handling skills and transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers, check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
