Salary: $17.00 hourly for 40 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours and Morning
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Work site environment: Candidates should work in odours, cold/refrigerated and wet/damp place
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, work overtime, in fast-paced environment, manually dexter, perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods and also bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also be reliable and a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
- The candidate should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, feed and unload processing machines,, assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties and also clean machines and immediate work areas
- The candidate should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors, manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers and also check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidate should be able to have food safety/handling skills
