Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
Experience: Candidates should have have 3 years fleet, automotive, or truck vehicle maintenance experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates must have the ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • The candidates must be able to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components above 70 lbs with the help of appropriate lifting mechanical assistance

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be an Automotive Service Technician or Truck & Coach Technician
  • The candidates should have completed a vehicle apprentice program with a certified diploma
  • The candidates must possess a valid driver’s license (Class 5,G, or 1[AZ]) and maintain a good driving record
  • The candidates should have a working knowledge of the use and operation of all service garage equipment and testing equipment, gauges, and tools normally associated with troubleshooting and repair of gasoline, diesel, and propane equipment
  • The candidates should have basic electronic troubleshooting skills and possess a complete set of hand tools, including metric sizes
  • The candidates should have basic Inter/Intranet skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Basic Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide timely, quality, cost-effective maintenance for FedEx Express vehicle fleet and ground support equipment, which requires preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and documentation
  • The candidates should be able to complete and achieve minimum thresholds on any mandatory testing and training
  • The candidates must be able to operate in a PC Windows environment
  • The candidates must be able to successfully complete all recurrence training and maintain annual accreditations where applicable
  • The candidates must be able to be willing to work varying shifts based on business needs
