Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a Secondary School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have previous work experience in a mining or industrial work environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work independently and within teams, work different schedules
- The candidate should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, work a 7 day on / 7 day off rotation with 12-hour shifts
- The candidate should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects regularly, and doing repetitive tasks with few breaks, be a good communicator with strong physical abilities
Other Requirements:
The candidate should have GED
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to start-up, operate, routinely monitor and inspect, and shut down all crushing plant equipment whenever the Crusher Plant Operator is unavailable
- The candidates should be able to adjust and check crusher settings, perform visual inspections of the crushing equipment and fine ore bin level
- The candidates should be able to carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyor components
- The candidates should be able to adjust the rate of plant feed and balance between crushers to avoid equipment overload
- The candidates should be able to verify lubrication of crushing equipment, remove tramp iron and wood from the jaw crusher feed
- The candidates should be able to clean the metal recovery system, unblock equipment , verify conveyor chute condition and operate dust removal systems
- The candidates should be able to operate mobile equipment to supply the mill with reagents, grinding media, maintain plant housekeeping
- The candidates should be able to clean the jaw crusher grease during day-shift, progress to Crushing Plant Operator, perform all other activities as assigned by the Mill Supervisor
