Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Start-up and testing, Shutdown operations, Renovating and restoring, Troubleshooting, Bearing, seals and packing, Stainless steel welding
Equipment and machinery experience: Automated and robotic system, Conveyor, Gas plant and shop compressors, Heat exchangers, High-speed packaging equipment, Hydraulic system, Industrial and stationary engine, Pneumatic system, Power tools, Power transmission system, Press brakes and metalworking equipment, Pumps and compressors, Tool grinders, Welding equipment, Hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, up to 45 kg (100 lbs), and be physically fit to perform tasks that are physically demanding, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be willing to work overtime as required, comfortable standing for extended periods, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be excellent in oral communication, fostering effective communication within the team while being team players, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices, detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and repair or replace defective machinery parts
- The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work on machinery, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and assemble machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
- The candidates should be able to install machinery and equipment with precision
