Salary: $28.00 to $44.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
Work setting: Service, repair, and overhaul

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Start-up and testing, rigging and handling, troubleshooting, and bearing, seals, and packing
Equipment and machinery experience: Electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, power tools, pumps and compressors, and tool grinders
Own tools/equipment: Tools and steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
Security and safety: Criminal record check and driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks and demonstrate attention to detail in their work to ensure accuracy and precision
  • The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as required by the job and be willing to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods during work hours and capable of working effectively under pressure, maintaining composure and productivity
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs) as part of their duties

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills and be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, repair or replace defective machinery parts, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • The candidates should be able to assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation, install machinery and equipment, and operate hoisting and lifting equipment
