Salary: $25.00 to $31.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Paints and varnish processing plant

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Oil-based or emulsion paints and Water-based paints
Equipment and machinery experience: Forklift
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments, demonstrating the ability to focus and perform effectively
  • The candidates should be tolerant of odors and comfortable working in dusty conditions, taking necessary safety precautions
  • The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, managing tasks efficiently despite elevated temperatures
  • The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks with attention to detail and precision, handling heavy loads using proper lifting techniques
  • The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding role, possessing manual dexterity for tasks requiring skilled hand movements
  • The candidates should have strong hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately and efficiently, and be comfortable sitting for extended periods if required
  • The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of the work routine, and able to stand for extended periods as needed
  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for certain tasks, adept at working in a fast-paced environment and managing tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of the job requirements

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units
  • The candidates should be able to clean and maintain the work space
  • The candidates should be able to measure, weigh, and load chemical ingredients following formulation cards
  • The candidates should be able to record production information
  • The candidates should be able to start up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment
  • The candidates should be able to take samples
  • The candidates should be able to adjust processing machines and equipment
