Salary: $17.00 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Employer’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Supervise and care for a multi-aged group of children and twins
Security and safety: Criminal record check and reference required

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers and willing to work overtime when required
  • The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks and demonstrate attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility, demonstrate initiative, and exercise good judgment
  • The candidates should be organized, demonstrate reliability, and have strong time management skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents efficiently, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties diligently, and shop for food and household supplies effectively
  • The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens proficiently, care for pets attentively, and bathe, dress, and feed infants and children compassionately
  • The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development appropriately, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children accurately
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home diligently, organize activities such as games and outings for children effectively, and prepare and serve nutritious meals skillfully
  • The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods attentively, sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants appropriately, and supervise and care for children compassionately
  • The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments promptly, tend to the emotional well-being of children sensitively, and help children with homework effectively
