Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Landscape construction
Type of heavy equipment operated: Bobcats
Area of work experience: Repair
Equipment and machinery experience: Truck and Forklift
Own tools/equipment: Gloves, Hard hat, Safety equipment/gear, Safety glasses/goggles, and Steel-toed safety boots 
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and be accustomed to working in dusty and noisy environments
  • The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions, be comfortable working outdoors, and be adaptable to wet/damp working conditions
  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling, and be accustomed to a fast-paced work environment
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads in a physically demanding role, perform repetitive tasks, and be comfortable standing for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) as needed

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be client focus, have flexibility, judgment, be initiative, and reliable
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should be effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to transport tools and equipment on push or hand cars and perform laboring duties in warehouses
  • The candidates should be able to cut vegetation growth from railway tracks using scythes and mowers and shovel snow from railway switch boxes
  • The candidates should be able to check freight cars for physical damage and cleanliness and assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles
  • The candidates should be able to paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes, as well as load and unload goods while providing customer service
