Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Master’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to recommend the acquisition of museum and gallery artifacts and supervise technicians, assistants, students, interns, staff, or volunteers
- They should be able to examine artifacts and determine the most appropriate method of restoration, research origins and history of artifacts, and train technicians, assistants, students, or interns
- The candidates should be able to develop storyline and theme of displays and exhibitions, provide advice on display and storage of artifacts to ensure proper maintenance and preservation, and coordinate the storage of collections and setting-up of displays and exhibitions
- They should provide consultation to museums, art galleries, or private individuals, oversee the conservation, display, and circulation of collections, and research new conservation and restoration techniques
