Shifts: Day, Evening, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, urban area, work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, child welfare check, criminal record check, drug test, medical exam, reference required, basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers and scent-free, capable of handling heavy loads, and willing to work overtime as required
  • The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, adept at handling repetitive tasks, and able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should possess a strong attention to detail and be able to handle loads up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

  • The candidates should be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals, and adept at time management, optimizing productivity and meeting project timelines

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
  • The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips, assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, and wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children
  • The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
