Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Employer’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Cebuano, and Tagalog
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers and refrain from using scents or fragrances
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and physically fit for demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be able to manage repetitive tasks efficiently, work under pressure, and demonstrate attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client satisfaction, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility in their approach to work, show initiative in their actions, exercise good judgment, and be organized and reliable
  • The candidates should have strong time management skills, demonstrate patience, and demonstrate honesty

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to change diapers and follow parents’ lead with toilet training
  • The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
  • The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, and bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize activities such as games and outings for children, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • The candidates should be able to help children with homework and cook
