Salary: $19.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking
- The candidates should be able to work in a scent-free environment
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and show initiative
Other Requirements:
- They should have good judgement and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable, patient, and honest
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
- They should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- They should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, and take children to and from school and to appointments
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children
