Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, Child welfare check, Criminal record check, Drug test, Medical exam, Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, be physically demanding, and a repetitive taskers
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in a non-smoking area and scent free area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize, activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods
- The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, tend to emotional well-being of children
