Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Overtime, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Employer’s home, and Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, and Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Toddler to pre-school (1 – 3 years), and Kindergarten age (4 – 5 years)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check, and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should focus on clients and have good interpersonal skills, communicating well orally and possessing strong written communication skills
- The candidates should be flexible, take initiative, and exercise good judgment, while being organized and reliable
- The candidates should work well in a team and manage their time effectively
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize activities such as games and outings for children, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
- The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants, supervise and care for children, and take children to and from school and appointments
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children
