Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience with Arista, Cisco, Cisco-Meraki network fabric is considered a requirement and IIS, Citrix ADC or NetScalar, NGINX load balancing technologies and Arista Cloud Vision or Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric is highly desirable
  • The candidates should have in-depth understanding of Active Directory Infrastructure, DFS, DHCP, DNS, Infoblox, and other Microsoft Infrastructure and security services and information security standards and best practices
  • The candidates should have experience in python programming and maintaining Juniper SRX Firewalls, VPNs and related security appliances or software and Incident, Change and Problem Management procedures, preferably in an ITIL driven environment
  • The candidates should have advanced expertise of enterprise data center environments, concepts, technologies and OSI model and networking concept (WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLAN or VRF environments)
  • The candidates should have advanced knowledge of Routing Protocols OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP and layer 2/3 switching frameworks, STP, vPC, LACP, MLAG, VxLAN, MLaG, VTEP and Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystems and service frameworks
  • The candidates should have advanced knowledge of IDS or IPS, ACLs, NATs, SSL or TLS and IPSEC VPNs and diagnosing complex network performance issues and working with Network Monitoring systems
  • The candidates should have experience with conducting Root Cause Analysis on major incidents and coordinating and executing follow-up actions and designing and maintaining Software Defined Network (SDN)
  • The candidates should have proven problem-solving skills, service-oriented and solution driven and strong drive to understand and learn on the job and excellent verbal and written communication and consensus-building skills
  • The candidates should be forward thinkers with knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies and calm, confident, and keen to work in a fast-paced environment


  • The candidates should be able to design and uphold the foundational elements of virtual infrastructure in the areas of networking, spanning both private and public cloud environments
  • The candidates should be able to plan, design, and oversee the on-time and on-budget implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency in execution as it relates to the organization’s Reference Architecture and Technology Roadmap
  • The candidates should be able to provide expert input towards the evolution of the Reference Architecture and Technology Roadmap
  • The candidates should be able to compile project scoping and budgeting to secure necessary funding for business initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to actively participate in industry organizations and bring that knowledge to bear within Rogers Sports and Media
  • The candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure, along with proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • The candidates should be able to interact effectively across various cross-functional teams within the organization
  • The candidates should be able to effectively challenge assumptions and lead change and demonstrate care for people and the world around them
