Transportation information: Willing to travel
Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer, willing to relocate, telecommunications industry, and telecommunications service provider
Supervision: 1 to 2 people, 3-4 people, and 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office and MS Windows
Security and safety: Basic security clearance
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
- The candidates should be able to evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
- The candidates should operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, coordinating access and use
- The candidates should load computer tapes and disks, install software, and manage printer paper and forms
- The candidates should provide problem-solving services to network users and implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
- The candidates should perform routine network start-up and close-down, maintaining control records
- The candidates should handle data backups and disaster recovery operations
- The candidates should install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
- The candidates should set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
- The candidates should implement network traffic and security monitoring software, optimizing server performance
- The candidates should research and apply meta-data to Websites, register Websites with search engines, and respond to requests for help and information
- The candidates should perform Web-server backup and recovery operations and supervise technical staff
