Salary: $26.00 hourly 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer, Willing to relocate

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Repetitive machining operation experience: Drilling
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be reliable
  • The candidates should have ability to multitask, and excellent oral communication

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • The candidates should be able to operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
  • The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • The candidates should be able to prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
  • The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • The candidates should be able to enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the tool path for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
  • The candidates should be able to clean and maintain work space
