Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should be registered or eligible to be registered as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association
Experience: Candidates should have experience working in a health clinic setting

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be willing to participate in an after-hours schedule to support clinic services outside of regular business hours
  • The candidates should have the ability to provide leadership, coaching, and training to members of the team

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to recently apply knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to operate across multiple levels of care and within a transdisciplinary environment
  • The candidates should possess effective oral and written communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate critical thinking, relationship building, conflict management skills and exhibit strong organizational skills
  • The candidates should have experience working with a diverse population and knowledge of the Yukon Government’s Putting People First report
  • The candidates should posses TB screening, Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance, Valid CPR Level C, WHMIS 2015, and Current registration in good standing with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association
  • The candidates should be able and willing to function satisfactorily in both languages and successfully pass the language proficiency level

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work closely with health and social care providers located within the Constellation Health Centre as well as those practicing in the broader community, including physicians, registered nurses, medical office assistants, and other social and allied health professionals
  • The candidates should be able to work in a collaborative practice model as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary health care services to the Constellation Health Centre clients/patients
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for liaising with key partners to provide holistic, accessible, and equitable care for clients/patients while contributing to an environment that is inclusive, non-discriminatory, and physically, psychologically, and culturally safe

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get a signing bonus of $7500, a market adjustment allowance of up to $12,000, and yearly reimbursement for licensing fees
