Centre de santé communautaire Hamilton/Niagara is a community health center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to residents in the Hamilton and Niagara regions. Our services encompass medical care, mental health support, dental services, and health promotion programs, delivered with a strong focus on community well-being. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $59.24 to $68.48 hourly (To be negotiated) for 17.5 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language and should be bilingual
Education: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to care for, assess, and monitor the health of newborns and refer infants to appropriate medical services as required
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborns and young infants
  • The candidates should be able to advise patients on health care
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team and plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care
  • The candidates should be able to examine patients, take their medical histories, and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
  • The candidates should be able to order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
  • The candidates should be able to conduct patient interviews, perform physical assessments, and take medical histories
  • The candidates should be able to formulate and implement treatment plans and monitor patients’ progress
  • The candidates should be able to inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
  • The candidates should be able to perform or order diagnostic tests and interpret results
  • The candidates should be able to provide health maintenance education
