Work setting: Printing shop and Retail business

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office, WordPress and MS Windows

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in an air-conditioned, fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be attentive to detail and able to distinguish between colors
  • The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting and capable of handling a large workload
  • The candidates should be capable of meeting tight deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be focused on client needs and equipped with efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should be excellent in both oral and written communication
  • The candidates should be proactive, showing initiative, and a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians and estimate costs of materials and time for graphic designs and illustrations
  • The candidates should be able to adapt existing illustrations and assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions
  • The candidates should be able to consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations, develop and produce realistic or representational sketches, and produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations
  • The candidates should be able to work in a multidisciplinary environment, coordinate all aspects of production for various materials, and coordinate subcontracting
  • The candidates should be able to consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communication materials, determine the medium best suited for the desired visual effect, and develop graphic elements that meet clients’ objectives
  • The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers, prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements, and use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides
