Transportation information: Public transportation is available, Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in non-smoking, and scent free area
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication and written communication
- The candidates should be flexible, demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, and be organized, reliable team players
- The candidates should have good time management skills and exhibit patience and honesty
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to change diapers promptly and efficiently and follow parents’ lead with toilet training for children
- The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles and prepare formulas for infants accurately, assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents as needed, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties effectively
- The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens as required, and bathe, dress, and feed infants and children appropriately
- The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development effectively, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children accurately
- The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home for children, organize activities such as games and outings for children to promote their development and enjoyment, and prepare and serve nutritious meals for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods comfortably, supervise and care for children with attention and care, and take children to and from school and to appointments punctually
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children sensitively and cook meals for children as needed
