Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience providing client service to the public

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared for physical work in outdoor remote settings, including weekends and holidays, and be able to work in all weather conditions
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and safely in a remote setting

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience performing custodial services
  • The candidates should have experience performing minor maintenance and repairs to buildings/facilities
  • The candidates should possess experience operating chainsaws and brush saws
  • The candidates should have experience working independently in remote areas
  • The candidates should exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate a safety and service orientation and have a Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license
  • The candidates should have the ability to self-direct work and should be reliable and motivated

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide custodial services and basic maintenance in area campgrounds and recreation sites for use by the general public
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in safety, client satisfaction, productivity, and quality of work
  • The candidates should be able to handle the physically demanding aspects of the outdoor-based position, including loading and unloading large quantities of firewood by hand on a daily basis
  • The candidates should be able to work in all weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality
  • The candidates should be able to take pride in their work, enjoy working independently, and thrive in an outdoor setting
  • The candidates should be able to remain committed to providing outstanding service to the public
