Position: Park maintenance supervisor

Salary: $27.00 to $29.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Kingsville, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license and own vehicle

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
  • The candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods without difficulty

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to hire, supervise, and schedule staff, schedule work, and establish work schedules and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to plan and direct grounds maintenance, organize and direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, and plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work
  • The candidates should be able to plan and estimate labor and materials, maintain work records and logs, and repair and maintain equipment
  • The candidates should be able to requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
  • The candidates should be able to resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, assist with landscape constructions, apply fertilizers, and sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds, and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks
