Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Completion of Masters degree in STEM discipline or completion of Doctoral degree in a STEM discipline
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of three years of combined experience in business development and industry partnerships, and research and funding application

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of research and sector trends and should possess knowledge of business development, project management, and industry-academic partnerships
  • The candidates should have knowledge of research funding application policies, procedures, and processes and should demonstrate knowledge of relevant governing legislation, policies, and procedures
  • The candidates should be familiar with the office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
  • The candidates should have knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
  • The candidates should possess knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context and familiarity with industries in Ottawa, Eastern Ontario, and Western Quebec

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to build and manage research partnerships with external stakeholders from various sectors
  • The candidates should be able to conduct business development and networking activities to promote research in the Faculty and foster partnered R&D initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to support faculty-wide research collaborations to achieve strategic objectives
  • The candidates should be able to seek and identify funding opportunities, analyze funding criteria, and devise success strategies
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate efforts to develop partnerships and facilitate collaborations between researchers and external stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and guidance to researchers in completing research applications
