Salary: $17.50 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Woodbridge Woodbridge, ON L4L 1N9
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, On Call, To be determined, Morning
Work setting: Remote location, Rural area, Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed an other trades certificate or diploma, or have equivalent experience in the role of a health aide or home health aide/home attendant
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: CPR Certificate, Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and physically fit for the demands of the role
- The candidates should be prepared for a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and capable of performing bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, ready for repetitive tasks, able to work effectively under pressure, and capable of handling heavy loads, including loads between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual and have a strong client focus
- The candidates should be known for their dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and excel in oral communication
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their work, show initiative in their roles, possess good judgment, and be highly organized
- The candidates should also be known for their reliability and be strong team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist in regular exercise (e.g., walking), and change non-sterile dressings
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care and prepare and serve nutritious meals
