Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed, and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their duties
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads as required
- Overtime may be required for this position, and candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be proficient in handling repetitive tasks and comfortable with sitting as part of their duties
- They should also be able to stand for extended periods, comfortable with walking as part of their duties, and capable of working effectively under pressure
- Additionally, candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to collect specimens and transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher
- The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and supervise patients’ exercise routines
- The candidates should be able to serve meal trays, feed patients, and make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of supplies and bathe, dress, and groom patients
- The candidates should be able to weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, and administer first aid in emergency situations
- The candidates should be able to deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, and accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
