Location: North York, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, and Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Persons with mental health disabilities, School age (6 – 12 years)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and able to handle weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, including feeding or assisting in feeding, laundering clothing and household linens, and performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship and personal care, as well as shop for food and household supplies and prepare and serve nutritious meals
