Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to supply and empty bed pans, ensuring patients’ comfort and hygiene
- The candidates should take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, monitoring vital signs accurately
- The candidates should serve meal trays and feed patients, catering to their nutritional needs
- The candidates should weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, assisting with their mobility and comfort
- The candidates should deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, facilitating effective communication in the healthcare setting
- The candidates should make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, ensuring a clean and organized environment
- The candidates should supervise patients’ exercise routines, promoting physical well-being
- The candidates should administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas, providing necessary medical interventions
- The candidates should maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring availability of necessary medical resources
- The candidates should bathe, dress, and groom patients, assisting with personal care routines
- The candidates should assist with the set-up and maintenance of traction equipment, cleaning or sterilizing equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, and assembling, setting up, and operating job-related equipment, contributing to the smooth functioning of medical equipment
- The candidates should transport patients between care facilities, ensuring safe and efficient transitions
- The candidates should transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, facilitating movement within the healthcare facility
- The candidates should answer call signals promptly, addressing patients’ needs in a timely manner
- The candidates should prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas, contributing to pre-operative care
- The candidates should accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, promoting overall well-being
- The candidates should administer first aid in emergency situations, providing immediate medical assistance when required
