Salary: $43.00 to $49.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – On the road job
Location: Halifax, NS
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Community or retail pharmacy

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as  Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as required by the job and demonstrate attention to detail in their work

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies and evaluate labeling, packaging, and advertising of drug products
  • The candidates should be able to advise customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication and check prescriptions for proper dosage
  • The candidates should be able to compound prescribed pharmaceutical products, dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals, and maintain medication profiles of customers
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the proper preparation, packaging, distribution, and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals, and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff
