Salary: $54.69 to $62.88 hourly (To be negotiated) for 38.75 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time

Shifts: Day
Work setting: Hospital or clinical pharmacy

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset 
Credentials: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate, prioritize client focus, and be dependable
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral and written communication, and be flexible
  • The candidates should show initiative, exercise good judgment, and be organized
  • The candidates should be reliable and team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies, check prescriptions for proper dosage, and compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients
  • The candidates should be able to dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage
  • The candidates should be able to maintain medication profiles of customers including a registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs, manage the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products, and supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff
