Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Completion of at least one year of training in a formal Pharmacy degree program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have some exposure to hospitals and hospital pharmacy
  • The candidates should be familiar with word processing and pharmacy computer software
  • The candidates should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • The candidates should display tact, courtesy, discretion, and respect confidentiality
  • The candidates should be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, able to demonstrate effective service attitude, and self-motivated
  • The candidates should be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • The candidates should have Professional affiliation with the Alberta College of Pharmacy

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • The candidates should be able to communicate effectively with patients, providing them with information about their medications and answering any questions they may have
  • The candidates should be able to assist in medication reconciliation, medication counseling, and medication therapy management
  • The candidates should be able to accurately document patient encounters and interventions
  • The candidates should be able to participate in projects related to pharmacy practice, such as data collection and literature reviews
  • The candidates should be able to suggest new procedures or tools to improve pharmacy services
  • The candidates should be able to assist in creating and implementing new procedures or tools as part of project work
  • The candidates should be able to work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to achieve project goals and improve patient care
