Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Own tools/equipment: Mask, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles and Hard hat
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to work in outdoors, in dusty area, and at heights
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints, apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
- The candidates should be able to clean and prepare surfaces, cure freshly plastered surfaces
- The candidates should be able to cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- The candidates should be able to fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- The candidates should be able to mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency, smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- The candidates should be able to trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
- The candidates should be able to attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
- The candidates should be able to install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
- The candidates should be able to install Vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
- The candidates should be able to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
