Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Certified Steam Fitter/Pipe Fitter (307A)
Experience: Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be a self-motivated and passionate individual with a high sense of urgency, who thrives in a dynamic environment and can deliver consistent results on multiple priorities
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be a Certified Plumber (306A/NOC 7251), 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
- The candidate should have experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems); SAP knowledge
- The candidate should demonstrate a high regard for safety and the environment in both their own work and that of their team
- The candidate should have well-developed interpersonal skills in communications and team dynamics, possess strong oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct planned preventive and predictive maintenance Work Orders and accurately record maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and repair processing pipework and implement upgrades to ensure efficient repair and replacement
- The candidates should be able to participate in the daily preventive maintenance work order program on facility equipment and processing pipe systems, including identifying necessary parts for follow-up tasks
- The candidates should be able to complete pipe repairs and maintain systems such as hot water, brine, and cold water systems from the tank farm to AI holding tanks
- The candidates should be able to ensure unblocked and secure flow in and around the facility through to the wastewater plant and sewers
- The candidates should be able to complete steam pipe upgrades and secure steam systems throughout the facility
- The candidates should be able to perform general facility maintenance including plumbing repairs to sinks, eye wash stations, emergency safety showers, and drain systems connected to the wastewater plant
- The candidates should be able to assist in planning and organizing work activities including interpreting drawings, preparing parts, and providing feedback to planners to enhance the efficiency of current work systems
