Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and work at wet/damp areas
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, client focus, judgmental
- The candidate should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems, install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- The candidates should be able to prepare tenders and quotations, instruct apprentices, locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- The candidates should be able to cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment, schedule personnel, tools and equipment
- The candidates should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing, supervise other workers
- The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials, measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
