Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Credentials: Apprenticeship training, Pre-apprenticeship training, Level one apprenticeship training, Level two apprenticeship training, Level three apprenticeship training, Level four apprenticeship training, Level five apprenticeship training
Security and safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, client focus, judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- The candidates should be able to locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- The candidates should be able to cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- The candidates should be able to join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- The candidates should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- The candidates should be able to determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
