Salary: $20.80 hourly for 37 to 42 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Shifts: Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Slaughter houses, Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment, Poultry processing plant
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely
Work site environment: Noisy
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Knives
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, pay attention to detail, and stand for extended periods while handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to slaughter livestock, remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses, and remove feathers, singe and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging
- The candidates should be able to cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use and remove bones from meat
