Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 45 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment, while also being physically capable of handling demanding tasks, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks with attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should have experience in chicken farming
- The candidates should have knowledge of organic farming practices
- The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to tolerate various odors associated with farming
- The candidates should have experience in poultry and egg production
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses diligently
- The candidate should handle animals with care and attention to their well-being
- The candidate should monitor animal health regularly, identifying any signs of illness or distress
- The candidate should feed and tend to animals according to established protocols and schedules
- The candidate should maintain quality control and production records accurately
- The candidate should detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry promptly
- The candidate should perform general farm duties efficiently and effectively
- The candidate should set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops to ensure optimal conditions
