Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Linden, AB
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, Rural area, Willing to relocate
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Product inspection experience: Poultry
Automated systems experience: Egg-gathering system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive taskers
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work under tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to work in chicken farming
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do grading and monitor animal health
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
- The candidates should be able to provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock, or disinfecting pens, barns, or poultry houses
