Munn Poultry Farm Limited based in St. Judes, NL is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Poultry farm worker. Munn Poultry Farm Limited is a three generation farm in Analon Peninsula. We are engaged in hatchery business, selling chicks, poultry feed and equipments. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Location: St. Judes, NL
Work Location Information: The area is rural
Work Site Environment: Candidates should work in confined spaces, outdoors, wet or damp, noisy, odours, dusty, hot and cold or refrigerated place

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of Farm Operations: Chicken farming, layer poultry farming, broiler and other meat-type chicken production

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
  • The candidate should be physically strong
  • The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidate should be able to sit
  • The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidate should be able to walk
  • The candidate should be able for bending, crouching, kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in a flexible period
  • The candidate should be a team player
  • The candidate should be able to work in an organized way

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
  • The candidate should be able to feed and tend animals
  • The candidate should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
  • The candidate should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
  • The candidate should be able to monitoring animal health
  • The candidate should be able to handling animals
